Brain Food Snacks For Exam Time!
Have a big test coming up? We know some of our Pacific College acupuncturists are going to be busy taking the CALE today, so make sure your brain is functioning at its best with these Brain Food Snacks:
- Nuts and Seeds: Pack a bag of your favorite nuts and/or seeds to munch on during your exam. They are a great source of Vitamin E, which improve cognitive function.
- Blueberries: These little berries can help to improve memory and focus, and if you combine them with your favorite nuts and seeds, you’ll have a great brain food trail mix!
- Dark Chocolate: This treat is rich in flavanoids, which will improve your blood flow and thereby improve your brain function as well. And who doesn’t like chocolate?
- Water: Did you know when you get dehydrated your brain tissue actually shrinks? It’s true! So make sure you have a water bottle with you and if you start to feel your head getting fuzzy, drink up.
